2018 Co-Curator

Kitty Scott

Kitty is the Carol and Morton Rapp Curator, Modern and Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada. Previously she was Director of Visual Arts at The Banff Centre, Canada; Chief Curator at the Serpentine Gallery, and Curator of Contemporary Art at the National Gallery of Canada. Scott has written extensively on contemporary art for catalogues, books and journals and regularly lectures at arts schools and curatorial programmes throughout North America.

2016 Co-Curators

Dominic Willsdon

Dominic is Leanne and George Roberts Curator of Education and Public Practice at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Professor in Curatorial Practice at the California College of the Arts. He was Pedagogical Cloud Curator of the 9th Bienal do Mercosul | Porto Alegre (2013). Recent and current projects include the exhibition Public Intimacy: Art and Other Ordinary Acts in South Africa (2014), the symposium Visual Activism (2014), and a book titled Public Servants: Art and the Crisis of the Common Good (forthcoming).

Francesco Manacorda

Francesco is Artistic Director at Tate Liverpool. From 2010-12 he was Director of Artissima in Turin, and between 2007 and 2009 was Curator at Barbican Art Gallery, London, where he realised Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art (2008) and Radical Nature (2009). In 2007 he curated Venetian, Atmospheric, Tobias Putrih, the Slovenian Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale.

Raimundas Malašauskas

Raimundas curates often, and writes occasionally. Recent projects include In My Previous Life I Wanted to be a Tablet, Instituto de Vision, Bogota (2015), Tomorrow night I walked into a dark black star, Universidad Di Tella, Buenos Aires (2014), and Oo, Lithuanian and Cyprus pavilions at the 55th Venice Biennale (2013). He has co-written the libretto of an opera, produced a monthly television show, and was an agent for dOCUMENTA (13).

Ying Tan

Ying is currently the curator at Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA), where she is in charge of the annual programme of exhibitions, public programme, as well as national and international touring shows. She has curated numerous exhibitions in CFCCA, in addition to many other off-site projects in London and internationally. She is a visiting lecturer for Christie's Education (UK) and a contributor to KALEIDOSCOPE Asia Magazine. Recent projects include: Floating Cinema (UP Projects, London), Asia Triennial Manchester 2014 (CFCCA) as well as Curating each other (Connecting Space, Hong Kong).

Sandeep Parmar

Sandeep co-directs the Centre for New and International Writing and is Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Liverpool. She is the author of Reading Mina Loy's Autobiographies, scholarly editions of The Collected Poems of Hope Mirrlees and Selected Poems of Nancy Cunard and two poetry books: The Marble Orchard and Eidolon (a rewriting of Helen of Troy in modern America). She is a BBC New Generation Thinker.

Steven Cairns

Steven Cairns is Associate Curator of Artists’ Film and Moving Image at ICA, London. He curated the ICA Artists’ Film Biennial 2014 and 2016, and the Tramway Artists’ Moving Image Festival 2014. He was a jury member of the Jarman Award 2014, and in 2015 selector of Film Open. Recent screenings took place at Kunstverein Munich, Stedelijk Museum; and Bergen Kunsthall (with James Richards) and Enter/Exit at Kunsthalle Bern (all 2015). He is completing Archaeology & Exorcisims, a research project and publication on alternative approaches to moving image archives.
