Join Liverpool Biennial and In-Situ for the launch of Krzysztof Wodiczko’s large-scale art installation Guests (2009), presented in the extraordinary setting of a derelict cotton mill in Brierfield, Pendle.

The iconic Northlight (Brierfield) Mill is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1832 and will host the exhibition for a limited time only. The spectacular artwork was originally commissioned for the 53rd Venice Biennale and shown at Liverpool Biennial 2016.

Krzysztof Wodiczko (b. 1943, Warsaw, Poland) is known for large-scale public projections, interactive instruments and vehicles created to empower marginalised individuals and communities. In collaboration with In-Situ, he will interrogate issues around migration and the displacement of people, engaging with local communities, policy-makers and visitors to the area.

The exhibition will run from 20 May – 11 June 2017 and is open weekends only (10am – 3pm). There will also be a free public talk with the artist on Sunday 21 May (12 – 2pm).

The exhibition is part of the Liverpool Biennial touring programme, which brings artworks by international artists presented at the 2016 Biennial to six arts organisations in the North of England.

The launch event is sponsored by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.
