Philip Jeck: Vinyl Requiem (Replayed)

Liverpool-based artist Philip Jeck revisits his acclaimed 1993 collaboration with Lol Sargent, a performance that involved 180 record players and multiple film and slide projections. Marking the demise of vinyl and analogue recording in the wake of digital formats, the original work will be ‘replayed’ 21 years on, with Jeck playing live with the film, to mark what is perhaps, in the age of virtual media, the end of tangible recorded music.
